In the summer, it’s a great place to pursue all kinds of water sports or to take a circular cruise on one of the ships of the White Fleet of Lake Bigge Passenger Lines (Personenschifffahrt Biggesee), and, in the winter, to take leisurely walks.

Covered wagon rides, skating, golfing, hiking and biking on marked trails – it’s all possible around the lake. Visiting one of the largest and most beautiful show caves of Germany, the Atta Cave in Attendorn, is an absolute must.

In addition to its good road network and direct railway connection, a large number of parking lots, various sports facilities, and the camping and recreational resorts, Lake Bigge offers various swimming beaches, yachting clubs and excellent lakeshore paths all around Lake Bigge and on one side of Lake Lister.
